If I take SAT II’s in January, can I wait until I receive my scores before sending them off to colleges? Or do I just have to blindly send them when I take them without knowing if I did well or not?
Unfortunately I think you have to send them blindly.
Most colleges say that the last acceptable test date for SAT I and SAT II Subject tests is January, so in order for them not to be late you will have to directly send them.
However if you have already taken a practice test, or if you make a point of taking a couple practice tests before you take the actual one, you should get a really good indication on whether or not sending them right away will be a good thing or not, in which case you can cancel your future test, or go through with it.
With almost exactly 2 months till the January test I think you have enough time to study if you dedicate enough time to it and don’t procrastinate. Remember the curve on the Subject tests is much more lenient, sometimes allowing up to 9 mistakes for a perfect score depending on the difficulty of the test (if it is Physics and Math 2, other tests like US history have less of a curve from the data I saw from 2015 test takers.)
Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! This helps a ton!
