So, I'm still worried about my standardized test scores. Im taking the ACT on sept 13 and plan to register for the Oct SAT.

The only ACT after that is december, and the only SAT after being able to see my October scores is also, december. the fifteenth and sixth, to be exact.

Here's my question - with deadlines in early january, will these test dates be too late, period?
if not, could I wait to get my scores, then send the tests? Or would I have to send my test scores by filling them out the day of the test?

you're doing regular decision (january 1), right? if so, then the december ACT will work if your september one isn't up to par.. i say just take all 3 ACTs (sept, oct, dec).. the december scores should come in soon enough for the deadline in january.. and if you get the score you want with september, then don't worry about the december one.. but i definitely say take both the sept. and oct. tests

Well actually you would be able to see your test scores from the September date, you MIGHT have to pay a late fee though.

If you use the hack you can usually see your ACT scores a week after you take the exam. The last day to signup without a late fee for October is September 19th..6 days after the Sep ACT. Perhaps you'll get lucky? But you'll definitely be able to see them before the late fee signup ends for the Oct ACT (Oct 3rd).

it's not a hack, per se.. it's just a way to see your scores before they've been officially released.... when the ACTs are graded, their scores are put online as they are graded, but only on a certain week about 2 weeks after the test are you able to see your scores (since almost everyone's has to be put on there first).. but if you're lucky, then about 5 days after the test, you can use a secret way to enter the URL and find out your ACT score before the official release date.. look around here, there should be a couple of threads on how to do this "hack"

isn't there a chance of your score being canceled?
this is kinda like the time when harvard students hacked the site to see if they've been accepted and the 300 that did were declined after their acceptance LOL

scores cancelled? no.. unless you cancel your scores or the proctor sees you cheating on the test in some way and contacts ACT that day, your scores shouldn't be cancelled

okay. but when is the latest test you guys think that i would be able to take (act and sat), AND be able to see the scores BEFORE sending them to the colleges (before deadlines.)

So, i want to take the test... see the scores (mailed or online, hack, or not (SAT)), and then tell the ACT to submit my scores. I dont like the idea of sending test scores from the site, not knowing what they are. I know that's pointless for the SAT, but it isnt for the ACT.

you should be able to, i usually get my complete scores back within 2-3 weeks (with writing i mean.. if you're not taking the writing, then 1-2 weeks would be all for you).. which should be just before the application deadline.. december could work.. there is a small chance it will not be in time.. but you should get the scores in time.. definitely take the next 2 ACTs.. and then if you absolutely have to, take the december one (if you can't get the scores in before Jan 1, don't wait for them)
