on websites for some schools it says the last date to take the act is december. i want to know how we could find out the scores on the dec. test if most college apps are due in dec.

if you send the act scores straight to the college, they get them in time to look at them. decisions dont come out until a lot later. if a college says that they accept december scores, then dont worry about it.

i have already taken the june test. i will be planning on taking the oct. and dec. test. will colleges take the highest score and use that for determining whether i get accepted? i want to know if they will throw out the other scores and use the highest one only.

thanks

Yes, they'll use the highest one only, so don't worry about it. Although you should try to nail it in October so you're not taking it a third time while you're trying to finish your apps.

^ agreeeeeed.

It's so nice to know that I did well on my tests in June so now I'm going to be able to concentrate on my applications.

So, try to nail it in October then spend the rest of the time working on apps and not worrying about reading passages or writing the essay.

For what it's worth, colleges will only see your highest ACT score--the test results you forward them; unlike the SAT where they see ALL your scores!

if you do well in october don't retake. it's better to stick with the scores you have than to send lower scores.
only retake if you're absolutely sure you can go up.
