taking the AP outside of America if you're already out of school

I come from a high school in Singapore that doesn't offer AP - now i've graduated, got into a college in America and want to take AP for AP credits. how does it work? if i register, am i allowed to join the AP exams taking place in another high school i've never been to?

You're going to college this fall, right?

AP exams are almost over...the deadline for registration was long ago.

Yes. Email the AP coordinators at the AP centres in Singapore. I've emailed AP about it before. The list includes SAS, RJC, NUSHS, and some others. Let me try to dig out the email.

Btw, APs are in May annually. This round's almost over. I thought you applied for Fall 08 Admission? My memory fails me though.

nope, i'm entering in Fall 2009. military conscription. :) i have 1 year to prepare!

Conscription sounds so ... draconian. Anyway, for the full list of AP centres in Singapore, you should email AP. When I did it the last time I got a reply in a few days. Quite fast. What subjects are you intending to take?

haha, whichever subjects that are not covered by my A levels but are needed for advanced placement in my college. sigh my rusty brain's gotta work again. i didn't take Economics at a levels, but i'm thinking of self-studying and then taking the AP Micro and Macroecons.

I might suggest World History. From what I've heard, some degree of it is covered in Sec-Sch History (if you took that). Of course, it also depends on what you wanna do :P
