Taking the SAT as a College Freshman

Would it be considered a bad idea? I'm just concerned that I might want to transfer to another school in the future, or need it for an internship. I have never taken the SAT before and I am considering doing it this year, I just want to know if it is advised first.

Thank You.

SAT doesn’t matter for transfers. However, you still must have a score. Take the SAT, but don’t fret over it- it plays a very small role for transfers. GPA and ECs are the deciding factors. If you want to transfer to a top 20 school, you need a 3.9-4.0 GPA. You probably don’t want to intern at a place that cares about your SAT scores (that’s just silly).

Haha. That’s what I thought to. But this internship is a paid summer internship at Cornell. I found it really weird that they were looking for SAT scores.
Thank You!
