Has anyone done this? Any comments on its comparability?

I, unfortunately, was out of the country for the PSAT testing but, having received a 218 I unfortunately cannot send in when I took the test my sophomore year, I hope to find another way to take it. I sent my predicament in to NMSC and received a letter back from them with instructions, etc., which I intend to follow. I do wonder, however, how comparable the two tests are, and whether anyone has received any NMSQT honors with the SAT? Not ever having taken the SAT, I feel that it must be harder, but perhaps veterens of both can shed light on the issue.

It's late. I hope that was comprehensible. Any advice at all would be very helpful!

Your score will probably be comparable. Take a practice test or two and you'll be fine.

Mm, I hope so. Or I hope so if the 218 wasn't a freak accident.

To those who HAVE undergone this insanely bureaucratic process--was it the green card that needed to be mailed in by the cut-off date, or merely the request for alternate testing? In a panic attack designed by my subconscious to subvert my attempts to not fail tomorrow's calculus test (as if anyone even likes infinite series, the jerks) I realized that I had not yet mailed it in and indeed may have no idea where it's disappeared to...this being, of course, the best argument against early planning. I am planning to tear apart my locker tomorrow and was considering writing them again for a replacement copy if indeed the only March 1 requirement was that I get my name in the system. Who knows.

(Though I suppose I hope one of you does.)

Worry alleviation will be compensated by much gratitude in the internet currency of gushing and exclamation points. :)
