if i take the new SAT 3 times and i took the old SAT once, will colleges think of that as suspicious (ivies and top UC's)? will that look bad?

The ... uh I don't remember the name... plan says take it as many times as possible to get the score you want - won't hurt.

oh ok. thanks
anyone else por favor?

take SAT as many times as you want
But dont take it anymore if you think that your score isn't going to increase more than 50 points

I don't think it will necessarily look bad to colleges, but if you keep taking the new SAT without significant improvement, it probably won't look that good either. I think as long as you improve and do well, it won't be suspicious to colleges or anything?

colleges don't run our lives..we should be free to take the SAT as much as we want. heck, some people just like the challenge and who has the right to stop them?

I went to Harvard's wbsite and looked at one of their pdf's on college admissions that one's application is weakened if one takes the SAT too many times. No amount was mentioned, but I would say 4-5 would be a bit extreme.
