<p>I talked to a UT admissions person today and the topic of February admission came up. She said that there will be ONE final wave with all admission decisions - accept or reject. She said she doesn't know the exact date, but we can expect the final wave at the end of February. Thought I might share this insight!</p>

<p>There are two more waves after the feb. 15th wave from what I’ve heard from people who have ties to the admissions dept. </p>

<p>a friend of mine who’s mom works for the business school said the next wave is likely to occur on the 15th and the past waves have gone out on Dec. 15 and Jan. 15 </p>

<p>I do have a question though, I heard from someone with connections to the admission office that there are 3 more waves and that they have already sent out some rejections. I keep hearing different information from all over the place, and now this post definitely adds to the confusion! </p>

<p>Unless someone has connections directly to the Admissions office, I don’t think anyone really knows the date of the next wave(s). To clarify the woman I was talking with wasn’t directly affiliated with the admissions decisions; she was more of what I would consider an ‘admissions rep’, where she goes around talking more so about how to get into UT. I find it hard to believe that there will be one giant wave where people find out whether they are admitted or not. Whether this is true, I don’t know. The predicted wave on the 15th may be the final wave. Who knows.</p>

<p>I do not believe that formal rejections have come out yet. What I have heard has happened is that when you log into ‘my status’, the major displayed below ‘2014 Freshman Admission’ has changed to their second major, signaling that they have been rejected from their 1st choice major and are now being considered for their second choice major. - again, rumor though.</p>
<p>wait so if your major has not been changed to your second choice and still says your first choice then you got into your first ? im confused</p>
<p>This is all rumor… but some people say that their major has been switched to their second choice major. I don’t know if it is true, that is just what I have read on the forum. So, no, if you haven’t received a formal acceptance, you are still up in the air. Confusing yes. </p>

<p>@135 I asked the same thing and MOST applicants have both majors showing up. Don’t give up. We will know soon.</p>
<p>If you look back almost a year on this forum you’ll find that UT released the majority of admission decisions on Friday, February 22nd. My best guess is next Friday, the 21st. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>@texasborn that is probably a good guess. I Facebook stalked a few friends of mine whose kids got into UT by review last year, and it seemed like the majority of announcements were made on Feb 22/23rd. Hopefully everyone will know by March 1st. Good luck to all of you! (Of course, Facebook is the most credible source for anything…right?!)</p>
<p>I think the 15th is too early and it will be Feb 21/22. But a wave did come out on Jan 15. Who knows. </p>
