My son is entering as a Freshman Fall of 2016. We heard rumor of off campus private dorm / student housing type apartment complexes (not sure what to actually call them) that are very close to campus that do roommate matching. Can anyone share names of these types of student housing and experiences?

Here try this link: http://studentlife.tamu.edu/agoss.offcampushousing There are maybe 10-15 different off campus apartments that roommate match. You rent by the room vs the apartment. Some are more dorm-like, some more apartment like (meaning common eating areas/ meals cooked for you, more activities, etc. vs. kitchens & not as organized activities, just amenities provided).
My daughter is a freshwomen and lives at Callaway. We are very pleased with the accommodations…aside from a
wifi issue (that occurs everywhere). Callaway did the roomie matching and no issues among the four ladies in the suite. Food is good.
