I was wondering if they enforce TAPS as much on the hill as they do at the P. I heard they really don’t.

It must depend on squadron but im wondering about it in general.

Thanks.

it really depends on the squad. Being present for DI is huge in my squad. If you're not there, they need to find you, but they're usually cool about where you are. If you're a 4 smoke you aren't allowed out after TAPS so that's the worst, but for everyone else, you can do your normal routine (shower, bathroom) after TAPS. You can get in trouble from the officer of the day for being in other squads or out on the t-zo but if you're just heading to the bathroom its cool.

It depends on the squad. Post-Recognition, my squad just requires that we be in our rooms for Dorm Inspection (DI) right after TAPS. Once they see that we're in our rooms for that, we can pretty much do whatever. A couple of us got a little noisy last night though, so one of the seniors told us to knock it off and go to bed.

Before Recognition though, uppers would tell us to go back to our rooms if we were up past 11:00.

Technically, you should only be studying after TAPS...and for a limited time. Freshmen are not authorized "late lights." However, most squadrons don't care too much, as long as you are not disruptive.

...unless the group AOC walks through!

our squad passed a policy allowing us to do basic things (use the restroom, shower, etc) way after TAPs. we can study in other rooms in the squad until midnight, and then in our own rooms offically until 0200.

lol, my squad just doesn't care really. Be somewhere in the squad at TAPS and no body bothers about being around at anytime of night.

Yeah, in hornet's squad, it's totally acceptable to be all the way across the t-zo at TAPS... no big deal. ;)

My squadron also doesn't care. We were allowed to shower and be in the hallways after TAPS all year, even before Recognition. I'm basically never in my room for DI and they could care less. It just depends on the squad.

cool, thanks guys
