Tasfa

When is the 2009-2010 TASFA form going to be available?

It's FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid. And it's available on Jan. 1.

there actually is a TAFSA. It's a texas thing
College for Texans - Paying I don't see the 2009-2010 yet, but it should be soon

AIE | AIE - TASFA Application

http://www.finaid.txstate.edu/forms/2008-2009/TASFA.pdf I tried changing the dates in the url and nothing came up

Hmm - what could we make the T stand for.
Tortuous Application for Federal Student Aid. (actually I don't find it that tortuous but a lot of people seem to)

Truthful Application for Federal Student Aid (for those seeking to 'hide' their assets and income)

Tactical Application for Federal Student Aid

Theoretical Application for Federal Student Aid (for those who have no chance of getting any)

I really need to find something constructive to do with my time!

the good news (?) is that you EITHER fill out the Fafsa or the Tafsa, not both!

I looked online for the 2009-10 TAFSA...and didn't see it..yet. Since it is the companion for those in Texas who cannot fill out the FAFSA, I'm wondering if it will be available on Jan 1...like the FAFSA.

And yes...you need to be sure you fill out only the form that you are required to do. If you are able to complete the FAFSA, it is my understanding that you don't also do the TAFSA (but that is what I got by reading that website). Check to be sure that you are doing the right thing.

yea....its either FASFA or TASFA (or other state aids)
I guess I will just wait till the 1st.
