Gasp. All of my essays are bordering 3 pages...

Funny how we all seem to be panicking so early, considering the deadline is not until the 22th/26th.

Omg I was out for ONE DAY, and not even the whole day, and suddenly there's this mad flurry of new posts on this thread! I skimmed the 4 or so pages I missed and wow, welcome newcomers to the TASP 2007 thread! Especially those lurkers. I've lurked CC since the summer after 8th grade (Join Date: August 2004, LOL) so I know where you guys are coming from.

And it's nice that we have a list of people applying now, and I definitely agree...meeting people you met online is going to be really weird (if we get in, of course). But hey, CCers are generally more qualified than the population as a whole, so hey, yeah, hopefully there will be a large turn out.

Happy New Year everyone, seeing as it feels like the TASP thread is it's own little world. :)

Oh and Kyzan I think I already told you that philosophy interests me, but of course...you're the aspiring philosopher, not me. I'll stick with writing, thank you very much. Haha.

My literary analysis essay is 1.5 pages...lol I ran out of ideas...damn

And concerning the ranks, my school doesn't rank either. I just put N/A in the little box on the online application. Same with the siblings thing, actually, seeing as I'm an only child.

Not fair you guys have an extra 10 days grr

guguru- It seems like the majority of people on this thread have filled up at least two, but often more pages.

My essays have all been about two pages.

damn...thats not good lol (for me)

back after a brief respite from tasp essays!

for me, so far it looks like it's:

1/2 cornell I(I) (still can't decide! foucault's fascinating but Cornell I has more to do with an analysis of international relations! eek! a dilemma!)
3. michigan
4. st. louis
5. UT austin

who's writing a critical analysis of a philosophical work of lit? or doing a political personal interest in a field?

i'm just curious, because i am too, obviously.

Aida- Its past 10 in PR so I'm assuming you got your 1/1 apps done. :-D Yay can you say "partay"???

sidjenks, I did my critical analysis on a philosophical work. But my personal interest essay is also philosophical, lol. Haha, I'm philosophy all the way :}

Hey, can somebody pleaaaase PM me musechick's essays? I'll love you forever. I've done pretty much all of mine, but I'm curious :)

My preferences:
1. & 2. Michigan or Austin, not sure
3. St. Louis
4. Cornell I
5. Cornell II (haha, another non artist)

Ahh, all of my essays are philosophical too! My critical analysis is on a philosophical dialogue, my conflict is on moral obligation, my problem essay is about ethics, and I talk about philosophy a lot in my future education plans.

Whoa ^^^ that is kinda freaking me out because that is pretty close to the general layout of my own essays. LOL, Toastwomble, we have to talk.

forgottenhawk
Thank you

Yeah can someone send me musechick2007's essays too? Haha.

And no problem DinaZhang. I'm just curious, which country would you be/are you applying from? And I know about the whole international thing because I have an international friend applying.

oo not to be a hassle, but can someone also pm me the essays pleaseee

HEY guys... how long are your preference of which seminar to attend things?? Is it an entire essay, or just two or three sentences about each one? clueless

I'd appreciate if someone could e-mail me musechick's essays as well.

My rankings essay is about a 1-1.5 pages long. I just wrote what I thought about the programs and how I related. I wrote more for my top choices than the ones I'm less interested in.

JESUS! I didn't know it was supposed to be that long!
