Im a guy. Lol roamorse, is a guy.

And I know what you mean about school and everything. Gah!

lol! giantredlobster thinks i'm a guy.

So I'm guessing you're not? Also, what does your name mean?

Maybe her name in real life is Roa Morse :)

lol sorry roamorse. I really did. Didnt you IM me once about AIDA. And i totally thought I rember you being yea what up dude my name is <insert generic="" boys="" name=""></insert>

OR is that reverse psychology and maybe you really are a guy

Ok so the first question is more debateable, some guy asked this a while back and it was sort of 50/50 I think someone suggested you called into the office but I bet thats over kill. Just go with it if you have a book you want to draw parallels that would be great, i didnt draw parallels to a different book but I did to myself and the essay turned out very power full (well i hope XD) As for the later, YES YES YES draw to outside events It will strengthen your essay 10x because when you have a concrete foundation you cant go anywhere, lame analogy, basically by having something fact based actual event you have a good footing with your essay, now if that is a somewhat argumentable topic that is even better, and if yyour arguments on the book and the event are the same you got your self one fine critical analysis. :-D yay

So go for it, may I ask what book your doing?

ahh thanks for the advice. i'm doing animal farm and it bears a really strong resemblence to 1984 as well as totalitarian russia/china. i felt that it might be a bit too obvious so i wasn't too sure.

oh so i finally decided on my seminar rankings. someone can add me to the growing list if they so wish:

Washington University in St. Louis

University of Michigan

Cornell II

Cornell I

University of Texas at Austin

and i also finally decided on a topic for essay #2. snaps

UT Austin
Nothing else matters.

Perhaps I'm just partial. =P

haha I spy a scientist :D

ahh i think im gonna completely revamp my issues essay...

im scared its too politically sensitive... =/

What the heck, Mindy?! lol. GS = childwoman. Dyed her hair too. SM = everybody was KUNG FU FIGHTING!
haha, being cryptic is fun.

Ah, damn, you figured it out already. Oh well.

LOL! I've gotten confused about the sex of various people here. I thought your AIM image was that guy from The Fresh Prince, Corey!! Urkle (sp?) haha, so sorry.

GRAPES! Is that... you? shifty eyes

Haha you thought that picture was from Fresh Prince

Also darling Urkel wasn't from Fresh Prince, but its okay. XD He came from Family Matters, got to love those black sitcoms.

Yea thats definetly a picture of me.

I was fresh prince for halloween though (not that picture) got some great pictures on facebook :-D

Gah and I thought you were Kelly Osbourne, haha JP JP JP gotcha.

I love that crazy Puerto Rican who takes spictures of her chin.

Okay im done, were even. Actually no you can get me back XD. Bring it.

Onetime: 1984 and Animal Farm are an amazing Duo.
Be original though, its a common comparison.

question about that ^^

mine's pretty politically biased (but it doesn't necessarily exclude other opinions, it's just slanted in one direction), should i tone it down? or would i be able to (hopefully) explain it in the interviews?

YOu were assertive to say the least and thats good. Also notice all the past TASPers said their seminars were pretty Liberal, so lets hope you arent a conservative rebuplican, :-P

Im not 100% sure about my above comment, but im almost 99% soemone before on these boards said they wanted to write their litanal on those 2 books.

^ like me? hahaha.

well, I don't have that much experience with writing literary analyses so I think I'll shy away from this one and compare with something else (or just find another book to analyze altogether). Anyway, it's something I'm not going to worry about at this moment. still have 3 more essays to write >.<

Thanks for helping though. :)

hmm.. giantredlobster you say most of the seminars are liberal?... so... does it make a difference if my opinions are startlingly republican/democratic?

No No no. I didnt mean to deter you. I have read both books and they are an amazing duo. you still got 2 weeks so give it some thought, and try and see if its strong. The beauty of this application proccess is that unlike school you arent being given dry generic prompts or are grade against an anti-emotion (emo shall I) rubric. Teachers are looking for the same cra.p so they can give one of their generic scores, its true, i got a 40/50 on my last essay because she didnt agree with my platform.
TASP essays have allowed me to write originally and about stuff that is true to me for the first time and its showing. So fu.ck that guy who is writing the same thing as you, be a pig, post posters of yourself everywhere (context to both books) and write the paper. (That is if you feel passionate :-P)

Goodluck 1Time!

By God, please... nobody cares about your political ideology. If you're Sadean and believe that mankind should be wiped off the earth, I'm sure it's fine. If you know Charles the Martyr's speech by heart (like I do) and are a notorious Tory, nobody will give a shi.t.

Keep in mind that Francis Fu.kuyama (who wrote f.ucking "The End of History." Former Neocon) and Paul Wolfowitz (the main architect of the Bush doctrine, Prez of World Bank, NOTORIOUS Neocon) attended TASP.

Edit: Holy f.uck. CC apparently censors f u k, thus censoring f u k uyama. what a piece of sh.it

Haha im just repeating what I heard.

Wang has a point though. Ooh I like Passionate rants.

NOTE: I fully understand if you want to descredit every fu.cking thing I say. Me, Corey Patrick Ra**** has never attended TASS or TASP. Im just the token black kid on this forum, who is overly positive and basically the physical representation of do W/e the fuc.k you want with the APP because there is no right or wrong answer. Now this doesnt mean Im lying to anyone, when I respond to peoples questions I give honest answers, but these answers do not reflect someone who has attended TASP. So I appologize for anything I may have said that isnt 100% factual. But the whole application proccess is so protective none of us really know what we are talking about when it comes to their decision proccess so the 800 posts on here may just be a waste of time, IDK, but i still write on here because it feed s my procrastinatory senses.

Yours Truly, Corey Ra****
