<p>CC never fails to amuse me. On a slightly more serious note...For those of you who plan to apply to TASP on paper, are you writing or typing form I? (that is, the PDF file that asks for ECs, work experience, rank, etc.) Even though the instructions say to "type if possible", would it perhaps make a slightly negative impression if the non-essay part of the application were written?</p>
<p>on political bias in the essay--this is just fine, as long as you can support your arguments well. it can show passion for a topic, which is good. It might even help if you are sincerely a conservative republican, because they do aim for a diverse group. What wouldn't help is if you write like a really homophobic essay or something similar, because being able to live comfortably with a diverse group of people is very important. So yeah, basically</p>

<p>Btw, Weinberg guest-lectured for our TASP. It was painfully boring; he narrated the history of science. It got really interesting when he started talking about s.hit he CARED about, particularly the existence of dark matter.</p>
<p>Also, the wiki includes a picture of my TASP. I'm the guy in the top row...center...wearing a pitch black Joy Division shirt. I have my hair parted to one side. It was a full mohawk, but for Goth day (a spirit day...everybody else changed back into normal clothing but me) I uh...put it all to one side. JustAnotherCCer is the last girl in the first row.</p>
