Well there should be what, 26 pieces of paper + two envelopes + a couple paper clips in there?

I guess that will weight alot.

OKAY I am confused about app instructions. I realize people have probably asked this and answer this question before, but I'm too lazy to scroll back to old threads.

Is this the order?
Original application Form
Original Essays (Are we supposed to staple them? Because most will be two pages, right? Or just leave them as is...)
Letter of Recommendation

One copy of application form paperclipped to a set of copied essays
Another copy of application form paperclipped to another set of copied essays.

PS. Do we have to fold our application? If I mail it in a 9x12 there shouldn't be any need to...but should we just follow instructions? Haha I'm scared to NOT follow instructions.

PPS. Is our first set supposed to be paperclipped? Or just the copies...

Well, I think you have that right. Just everything goes INSIDE the application?? Like, you fold it like a folder with the side with your picture on top??

It's so intimidating because they're so specific!

Well, there are going to be 3 readers. I don't think you need to paperclip the first set. The paper clipped ones are the ones with the copied application form, which can't serve as a folder!

The fold with the picture on top is the confusing part.
Then you have "original" copies of your essays that are stapled (At least I stapled my originals)
After that just paper clip 2 sets of your essays.
your transcripts and rec. don't have to be in any particular place

Also they just need a set to copy so thats why the paper clip ones are NOT stapled.

It may seem pretty meticulous; but its not the end of the world if you staple in a vertical or horizontal orientation. Make sure everything is there thats the most important part. If you number in Roman numbers and they wanted Greek thats their problem :-P

BUT why should you fold the application in the first place?

I mean, it's just an 8x11 sheet, and your envelopes are 9x12, so it should fit perfectly without folding it :/

WHATEVER I guess I'll just fold it.

Oh! But our second and third sets ARE NOT folded, correct?

So first set = two application sheets folded in half hamburger style and then...OH is the rest of the stuff that goes inside supposed to be folded as well? (essays?) Or OMG this is confusing. Haha I'll be right back.

The application came folded with the application part on the inside. They want you to flip it the otherway, so it's facing out!! And then you stick all your stuff inside it. Everything will fit inside perfectly. It'll just be a very thick 8x11.5 stack of papers.

yeah, i think what tako's asking is what we should do if we don't have the application that they sent us (i'm assuming she print the app out from the website), because the actual app was the size of two 8.5x11 sheets of paper folded down the middle so it could act as a folder.

i got the app mailed to me but i already screwed up on it, so i'm going to print it out from the website as well. i don't think you have to fold it if you're printing it out; just paper clip three sets together.

So if I just paper clip the first set so they stay together, that should be chill then. And keep the rec letter/transcript behind. And then the two other paper clipped sets behind.

GOTCHA. Phew. I am relieved. Except my house has no paperclips. That scares me.
