TASP for International Students

My question is can international students apply to the TASP program? Do they also attend the program for free? Thank you in advance!!!

Bump…any input will be appreciated!!

Yes, I haven’t myself applied but I know of international students who have.

Do they ever get in!?

International applicants are considered (and get in, or not) just like anybody else. Sometimes they are interviewed by Telluride alums abroad, and sometimes by phone or computer.

I’m not sure about the percentage or whatever that get in, but I knew of one girl who got waitlisted. Give it a shot if you’re serious about it! I regret not applying.

There were five (at least - I might be forgetting someone) international students at my TASP, so yes, international students absolutely have a chance. They attend for free, just like everybody else, and if you’re low-income, the Telluride Association will help with your travel expenses.

How was the experience!? Worth the six or seven weeks!?

The experience was absolutely worth the six weeks! Definitely apply and see what happens.

@Aeschylus:

1) I know who you are.

2) Re: your username…you would.

3) I’m seconding everything you’ve said so far. EVERYTHING. (And there were three TASPers living overseas and another two just going to high school in the US.)

@MOUADAST: There are a bunch of internationals in my TASP, so no worry. Was it worth it? Yes, but you’ll be having some tough time adjusting to life after that. So my advice is not to get attached to anyone there too much. hahah, but if you get in, you’ll forget this advice in no time. But seriously, DON’T.

And hi other TASPers!
