The time when results are coming out is slowly creeping out on us, so I’d just like to tell everyone that, regardless of who gets in or who doesn’t, the fact that y’all made it this far is pretty darn amazing!!! Good luck to everyone!
@phanakin That’s so sweet and is very true. Good luck to everyone and I hope everyone gets in!
results are out!! I got in! at UM II
Congratulations to everyone who got into TASS, I am so proud of all of you. I was chosen as TASS Alternate , meaning of someone can’t attend Tass I will be immediately chosen in their spot … I’m so sure no one will opt out of this , but they are still stressing that I should be excited and not to make any plans until after May 11
I got chosen as an alternate as well! I wish everyone else the best, and hopefully I’ll be able to attend
I got accepted into CU seminar two!! I am so excited to meet my fellow TASSers!
No alternates are getting in. That’s the sad truth, but what can you expect? There were roughly 112 kids with interviews, 56 kids got accepted, and the rest were probably chosen as alternates. This program is too exclusive.
Sorry to those who didn’t get accepted! This decision does not define you and your summer can hold many opportunities. Who else got accepted tho?
I respectfully disagree. This decision does define you, because it indicates that you are not good enough for a prestigious program, and at least 56 applicants are smarter than you.
Happy to say that I was accepted into my first pick!!! I literally jumped for joy when I got the email during lunch at school. Amazing job to everyone!
I got into UMICH I, my first pick also.
Congratulations to everyone… since there is one person up there that’s wants to be extremely negative, you’re so ignorant. trust and believe I’m not crying over some program I did not get into I have many more amazing opportunities just like TASS that I can do over the summer …so I want to know how does this define someone? You can be an A+ student and get a f on a test but still graduate with honors … there are many extraordinary people who were doubted in life and ended up being the best in the game.So how does this define someone
Fine. You’re right, and I’m sorry. I’m just upset that I didn’t get accepted.
It’s fine … did you just not get into the program ? There are 3 letters they send out to the applicants, the acceptance letter, the alternate letter , and a decline letter. There is no need to be all discourage about it there is many more opportunities you will get in this life and there are many opportunities you may not get ,but that doesn’t determine nor define who you are. The kids that got into this program are very bless and should be greatful and the kids who are alternates should also be greatful and hold on because a door just may open.
Hey loves!! idk if anyone would be interested, but considering that we all have another chance to take a shot at this, I’d be happy to provide a copy of my essays to anyone who wants to read them. Just PM me!
@phanakin that’s so sweet of you !!, what do you guys think of the people who are TASS Alternates ? , I feel like I still have a good chance of getting in… the lady wrote there is a high possibility you will still be invited.
@Lovelyneff22 You still have a pretty good chance of getting in, imo. A few people may have othet commitments, or may have something come up, etc.
I am new to this thread, but I was selected for UMICH 1. I can’t wait to meet my fellow TASSers. I personally know someone who got into multiple programs this summer and is most likely not going to TASS even though she got into UMICH 2. So don’t lose hope to those of you on the waiting list!
@pineapplesSFL I got into the same program! Can’t wait to meet you at TASS!
I just checked my decision and I got into my first choice!!! Congratulations to those who got in, and to those who didn’t, remember that this the decision you received is NOT a total reflection of you as a person and the qualities you have, and there are so many other smart, fun, intellectual things that you can do this summer besides TASS. Hope to see some of you at Cornell this summer!
