So this whole financial aid thing has gotten me pretty crazy, as each college has their own requirements of forms and information. This is the situation: My parents have finished and have gotten their 2007 tax returns already. However, we have yet to receive the IDOC information in which we get the cover sheet and mail everything back to them. In this case, should we send in 2006 tax returns to Dartmouth instead, and wait for the IDOC forms to come? Thank you!

have you filed the FAFSA yet? because you will probably receive that cover sheet a little later. The IDOC isn't due yet as long as you filed the FAFSA so you're probably fine.

Yep, I filed the FAFSA already. Yep, I understand that the IDOC isn't due yet, but do you think I should follow Dartmouth's directions as if I didn't have my 2007 tax forms ready yet? They say that if my 2007's aren't ready, then I should send in the 2006's to the college itself.
