Then you need to complete a non-filers statement…and get THAT to the college.

Verification of nonfiling letter is what you’ll want to order from the IRS by mail.
While requesting for the non-filer statement from IRS, you may want to contact the college as well. I found out recently some colleges require us to fill out their own version of non-filer statement.
