I'm very interested in TCNJ, and am trying to decide on my senior year course load.

I need to change one class, and am between two. One of the ones I can drop is AP, and the other is Honors (both are good & important courses though).

Does TCNJ take AP credits? If not, I'll be less inclined to take the AP course since in some ways the honors course may be looked more highly upon.

Thanks for your help!

Yes TCNJ takes AP credit BUT it will depend upon your score on the exam (and it will vary per subject). You can check their site for a list of the scores they’ll award credit for.

I actually found that page right after I posted this thread up lol. Thanks!

I have one more question though. Do you know how possible it is to graduate from TCNJ after 3 years? It’s not necessarily something I want to do, but it’s something I’m looking into since it would save me a years tuition. I plan on being an education major, and I saw you need 128 credits to graduate. Does that mean I can graduate as soon as I reach 128 credits, even if that’s after 3 years rather than 4?

Thanks for the help!

Hmmm I’m not sure about the answer to this one perhaps a current student can help. You may be limited to the number of credits you can “transfer” (AP credits, dual credits, college credits) and as a freshman you are only allowed to take a certain number of credits. Eventually though you can get permission to take more credits each semester. I’m sure it must be possible in some way.
