Oh never mind, I found it and I’M IN!

Has anyone who was deferred from ED heard back yet?

Anyone asked to change majors? My D got an email saying she was a good candidate, but was given the option to change majors.

Yep we got that email bcz D applied for nursing and its their way of giving her another option since she most likely won’t make the cut for nursing. Oh well not changing bcz she had six other acceptances…although tcnj would have been in the top for consideration if she got in.

Thank you for replying! Yep, our D won’t change either and also has 6 other acceptances! All with merit scholarships. Knew it was tough, but wow…oh well!
Best of luck to your daughter!!

Awesome mommabear that your d has six other options too! Best of luck to you and your d as well!

Thank you! By any chance is UDel one of daughter’s options? That’s where my D will probably go if she isn’t accepted to TCNJ.

Yes! We loved UD and they did give d merit so they are definitely one of the top considerations out of about four.

I applied October 23 and still haven’t heard back. English major

I am proud to say that I am close to finishing my freshman year at TCNJ. As a biology major I was guaranteed a challenging experience when it came to the courses I took. My classes were never bigger than 30 students, which considering that this are general classes is really not bad at all, and this didn’t stop the professors from getting to know the students. Overall the faculty and staff are there to help, they are extremely approachable and the professors are open to make adjustments if you contact them for help. From what I’ve heard from my friends, the challenge that comes in terms of academics depends on the major. However, my friends and I came from being at the top 10% of our high school and we have all found difficulties at one point or another meaning that we have been challenged academically.

Switching to diversity on campus, it depends on how you look at it. Racially you will find that the majority of the student body are Caucasian, but going beyond that there is diversity. I am Hispanic and my friends range from Being Hispanic to middle eastern to Caucasian, black, African, Asian… Etc. Also, you find diversity in our majors, religions, ways of thinking, political views, hometowns and many different categories that apply to each person in a different way.

I apologize if the post is too long, I believe it would be worth it if it benefits someone. I will give honest answers if anyone would like to have an insider’s opinion. Congratulations on being accepted to TCNJ to those who have already received that yellow folder!

Has anyone’s PAWS status changed? According to the TCNJ admissions twitter there are a ton of acceptances going out soon. Just wondering if they have updated the statuses online already

@haleys92 we checked D’s portal today and no change we are dying and can’t wait to hear something!

I know a bunch of people got decisions today… do you think that some may still be coming tomorrow?

I was thinking if we get the letters tomorrow shouldn’t our paws status have changed at least by today? Hoping for the best. Does anyone know if this is the last batch of responses?

D’s portal didn’t change. They emailed D asking her to change majors since she was a “good candidate”. Didn’t change and the deadline to change was 3/7. Not looking promising for my D! Oh well…their loss! She was accepted to 6 others all with merit scholarships.

Oh, btw… I think it’s terrible how some of these schools just string these kids (& parents) along. Just send a rejection letter if they aren’t going to be accepted! Stop waiting to see if a better applicant comes along!! These kids are stressed enough and can handle the rejection better than the unknown at this point! UDel is doing the same thing to some kids! Just awful in my opinion!

If I have not heard by now does that mean I’m out or are some more mailings coming? Have the first two waves been a pretty even split of yes’s and no’s? i’m getting really anxious

@jerseykid96 if you have a twitter account follow TCNJ Admissions. They said more letters are going out. Not sure about any rejection letters. Doubt anyone would post and talk about that. Good luck and keep positive!! No news, good news??? I’m not sure.

Well I didn’t get in and quite frankly I’m unsure why…. It was my top choice and now idk what I am going to do in regards to my college choice for next year… These rejections are really taking a hit on my confidence

@jerseykid96 I’m so sorry! Keep your chin up!!
