I have gone through almost all of the posts from last year’s applicants. There were a bunch whose status did not change until the DAY OF notification. While they are tied together somewhat (They have to have made a decision before they look at your financial documents) the fact that your status has or has not changed does not indicate whether or not you have been accepted or rejected. It just means that they have finished looking over your documents and have made a decision. Do NOT count yourself out yet. :)

Last day of not knowing = awesome! Today is going to be long and tomorrow will never end. Anyone else thinking of what happens if you are rejected. I have been waiting for what seems like forever in my mind, checking their site, checking this site, and after tomorrow it all ends. If I get rejected I am going to be bored haha.

Sorry I’ve been MIA but Sandy has hit NYC pretty hard. This is now day 2 w/o power and the streets are bad and a lot of places are still shut down…but on a brighter note 1 more day of waiting! @schopeful13 those places are great choices…I’m from NYC and would like to stay here @ellevintage I’m from here too but I would like to stay since I have 2 kids and a husband that can’t relocate.

I also put Special Ed as one of my top choices. That is where I really want to teach so I am hoping I get that. I will have started my masters by then also for Special Ed so I’m hoping that helps me get it :-)

One more day. Where do you all plan on being when you check? I’m thinking of taking a walk through the city by myself and I’ll check on my phone.

@crazygolfer68, if patterns hold true of getting notifications around 1-2 CST, I’ll be at work and my understanding is that your admission decision is visible in the title of the email and the way my phone displays email notifications, there will be no way for me to avoid it.

Right. I think they are more strict on this one. But if we do hear around 2 EST I will be in class or walking from class. If it’s not until 6PM I’ll probably take a walk.

I would think, honestly, if TF status reflected decisions and TFA KNEW that we were onto them, they would stop showing it and only let us know if we needed to resubmit something.

Wouldn’t that make sense? They’re quite a competent organization and I can’t imagine them letting something like that slide.

Also, I’ll probably be in my room just waiting. Starting around 6 PM EST, I imagine I’ll just be paralyzed refreshing.

Still ‘under review’ for my TF. I’m trying not to read too far into it. @Everyone: How do we know that there were some people who did not receive a TF status change until the notification day last year?

I will be either at my parents home or my fiance’s home, either with my fiance or on the phone with him. This is a big deal for us, as if I get in he will be moving with me so I really want him to be there. Also, i may need a shoulder to cry on. I, like crazygood31, will be constantly refreshing until I get my status.

Many of them from last year posted about how their status hadn’t changed and they were worried, but on notification day they posted that their status changed a few hours before their notification. :)

I also signed up a long time ago - I’ve yet to get an actual update and they have no way of knowing who is who, right? I thought it was just for general “updates” along the way not specifics.

@crazygood31 - Good point. I assumed because I used the same contact number they might know who is who. But perhaps not. I guess I’ll be obsessing over email and the applicant center! :)
