I didn’t apply for Transitional Funding yet because it looked like a lot of work and a lot of information that I needed to obtain from my parents while I’m away at school.

It seemed like a good winter break project.

I don´t regret applying for TF. If I get accepted, I might get some money for the move and that´d be awesome.

I’ve never felt like the decision could go either way before. Normally I am certain about if I think I got it or not. Come on looonggg day, speeed up! :)

What time did they start giving $$ amounts on TF last year? Anyone know?

@CertainlySet

around 5 cst. And Brigid must be a super woman.

My TF is completed but I have no sense of confidence or failure. I’m just playing it by ear, or rather, by sight

I’m driving myself absolutely insane. I keep alternating my refresh finger between this page and the TF page.

ALMOST JUMPS WHEN I SAW THIS first word in my email!

Congratulations, You Have Won a Ticket for this Saturday’s Homecoming Football Game vs. SMU at 7:00 p.m.

My TF status in UNDER REVIEW ( STIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL). THIS IS REALLY REALLY SAD! I AM NOT GOING TO GET IT -BUT OH WELL! NEXT!

What are the alternative teaching options? Can you just take the certification test or must you join some kind of program?

If I have a regret, it’s drinking the large coffee I ordered half an hour ago. Not helping with my jumpy, anxiety filled day.

AGREED! This 32 oz. dr. pepper was a bad idea.

My TF is still Under Review, too. Bummer.

Hey hey hey…None of that negativity. It doesn’t mean you weren’t accepted just like a completed doesn’t mean you were. BREATHE ppl.

That’s true… I’m not trying to be negative. I’m so happy that everyone is so supportive of each other…just goes to show that we’ll all go on to do awesome things regardless of acceptance or not. :)

I’m just glad I’m not the only one experiencing these feelings! :)

sooo, we should expect an answer around 5:00 cst, right? email or applicant center change first?

It depends where you live. In NJ you can get a job teaching math/science and subjects that are more difficult to fill if you have a degree in that area. The school district can hire you alternate route and help you get your certification. I live in NJ and my husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law are all teachers here. My brother-in-law was hired alternate route to teach CAD drawing stuff after being laid off from an architecture firm.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to need a glass of wine or two tonight…

@iraja

I wouldn’t say expect. I’d say hope. I noticed that our notification time is later than theirs was last year.

OKTFA2013–

I’ll join you on the glass of wine, but Great Lakes Brewing Company’s Christmas Ale was just released today, so that will be hard to pass up.

How about a better formatted template?

2 more hours til 6pm.

Everytime my phone makes that “new message” tone. My heart seriously jumps with my feet.

When I do receive that email from TFA, I will remind myself to breath in/out before I click open and pray that no matter what the decision is, it is the best decision for me for the next 2 years or so.
