Teach for America 2015 Corps

Moving on to the final interview!!! phew what a relief!

Congrats to everyone!

Iā€™m sitting here trying to decide when I am going to complete my Online Activity. I might go ahead and do it today, so it will already be completed! I am more than happy right now!!!

@iTeachBioā€Œ Isnā€™t it not available until the 29th? :/

Iā€™m going to start the reading today.

Also, does anyone find the ā€œcongratulationsā€ message on the top odd? I donā€™t know about yā€™all, but mine says based on my application, Iā€™ve been moved on directly to the final interview. Lol what?

I read that too. Then I continue to read and it basically means we made it to the final interview without having to do another phone interview. And yes it is. I realized that after I posted it. Lol :-/

Do anyone know if the final interviewā€™s are usually held on weekendā€™s or not?

I read somewhere on the website that theyā€™re held on weekdays. Idk if thatā€™s how it always is, but TFA seems pretty consistent with the application process from year to year.

@flossey thats what the message on my application said too! weird!

@iteachbio the interviews are usually held on the weekdays. Typically a school or another organization will donate space for the interviews to take place.

Thank you so much for your answers!

I definitely found that message odd. But Iā€™m too relieved I made it through to really care (I wasnā€™t too happy with my phone interview performance).

@iteachbio the timetable is saying October 13-16, which is Mon-Thurs. (https://www.teachforamerica.org/sites/default/files/2014.2015.application.process.pdf</a>).

Thank you. That happens to be my schools Fall Break so that helps! I will not have to take off of work #:-S

Have anyone started working on their lesson plan?

Sure have! Iā€™m set and all ready to go!

Me too! Iā€™ve been practicing and timing myself.

Has anyone done the online activity yet? Do you definitely need to free up 2 hours of your time?

We canā€™t access it yetā€¦ But the only timed part is the first, which is 30 min. The second part is longer and you can split up.

Did anyone else only have four questions on the second part of the online activity?

Phew! I was just about to come on here and post that. Yes I only had 4 questions and was freaking out that I somehow messed it up! Looks like we got lucky with this one :)

Interesting, I had 5 questions.

Yes, I have just completed my 4 questions!
