Same! Lol mine is still there too. I wonder if they work on stuff over the weekend seeing as our decision day is Monday. I’ve really just been checking to see if my Transitional Funding Status is going to change.
My timeline has been gone for a while, but who knows what that means. I doubt they would give us such an obvious clue like the timeline being missing if they’ve gone so far as to keep all of our codes the same. I think they’re trying to prevent out from finding out early, which is good in a way but driving me insane.
My timeline is still up. Is that a bad thing?
I looked on past pages and apparently people who had the accept or decline our offer code were accepted! Not sure if this still applies to us and don’t want to get my hopes up too much lol
@Ranza123 Super helpful, thank you! I’m glad they let you at least break the subjects into three categories, though it’s unfortunate that you can’t rank them within a category. I think that subject matter is going to be the biggest thing for me. When it comes down to it, the location is really just for two years, so I could probably do almost anywhere, but I do want to teach for more than the two year commitment, and certification/licensure is harder to change down the road. So much to think about! I can’t imagine how hard it was to have everything thrown at you at once (and only have a couple of days to turn around and submit your lists)! Thanks for all of your insights!
I’m in the exact same boat. I want to be a high school social studies teacher, so as long as I can teach at middle/high school and get my teaching credential, I’m golden. It would be really hard to have to go across the country though, since I already did that for college and I’m kind of over being away from family.
I would rather have my location than a subject or grade level but I’m hoping to do secondary education.
My anxiety is at an all time high now that the weekend has started. We got this everyone!! Good luck
I wish I had something to do this weekend!
I’m having the opposite problem lol So much to do but I can’t focus because of the anxiety
I agree with you @TFAcali2018 I have so much to do but too much anxiety to get anything done.
I’ve been on the site all day reading up on transitional funding. Any accepted peeps have any other info on it?
@TFADream2018 I was told that as long as it was in by Monday it would be taken into consideration, but I am curious what everyone used as proof of their financial status?
@Mmbeach4TFA I used my SAR form, I’m still in school so it was the most up to date thing regarding my finances.
Also, the website has been updated to reflect the new high needs regions!
Is it true we can apply for transitional funding after acceptance also? I was a total dunce and didn’t apply even though I should have
Out of the new high need areas which would you guys preference if accepted? I think I am going with Buffalo not thrilled with weather there but I can stay within a couple hours of family. Maybe the Las Vegas Valley
The deadline for TF is actually in March, 26th I believe, you’d just find it if you were approved closer to summer institute. If you applied to the 24th deadline you’ll know of your TF approval at the same time you get your regional assignment.
Also, since I’m ranking California as my #1, LA. The closest high needs area is Las Vegas valley. I could appreciate the weather there
