What are everyone’s top 5 regions?
Chicago
Dallas
San Antonio
Houston
Metro Atlanta
I did the 4th deadline so no idea if I have an interview yet, but the 5 regions I’m interested in are Kansas City, St. Louis, Greater Chicago, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. I picked those regions mainly based on the fact that I was born in New England and go to school in the Midwest. Anyone know anything (good or bad) about TFA in those regions?
The only thing I’m aware of with Chicago and Massachusetts is when you rank these areas, you rank different areas within the region. When I was ranking, I know Mass had a lot of different subject areas available. I remember looking into Chicago and there weren’t many subject options available to me.
Woohoooo! Im interviewing the end of this month!! Super stoked about this!!
My top 5 are New Mexico, Colorado, Rio Grande Valley, Tulsa, and Vegas.
I just want it to be Monday already - I am so nervous! I hope that the decision comes before 5:00pm.
@tfaonlyaccount That is so exciting! Congratulations! Are you doing a virtual interview or group interview?
I made it to the final interview! Kind of confused why it is called the “final” interview though. Has anyone done an additional interview before the final one?
Hi everyone! I am soo anxious for decisions to come out on the 10th. I was looking through the code to find any hints and saw this:
‘name’:‘DECISIONACCEPTSURVEY’,‘new’:true
Does anyone else see this or know if this means anything? I unfortunately don’t know java
@Writer4change Congratulations! I believe it’s called the final interview because they no longer do multiple interviews. I have read about some people doing an additional interview after their final interview, but it seems they got rid of the phone interview portion and just go straight to the in-person or virtual interview. A recruiter may still schedule an informal phone call with you to discuss any questions you may have.
@tallsunflower Hi! I’m also nervously awaiting results. I checked my codes, and they also say that. I don’t remember if it said true or not before today, though. I’m also not sure if it means anything. I think they just put the codes for all possible scenarios. Did you apply for transitional funding? My docs have been verified and the codes for both “transitional funding” and “transitional funding application” say completed. I know the “transitional funding application” code was there before, but I don’t remember if the “transitional funding” code was.
@futureteach2k20 thanks! I’m doing the in person interview. I really like the interview process and doing a virtual one would actually send my nerves spiraling haha. In person I generally feel at ease.
Which one did you do?
@tfaonlyaccount I did the virtual interview. I was definitely really nervous at first as I never had a virtual interview before, but my interviewer was super nice and made it feel like I was talking to a friend. After the first few minutes, my nerves were basically gone. The whole interview process was a really positive experience for me. I’ve heard others have had a positive experience with group interviews as well.
@futureteach2k20 Mine says ‘name’:‘TRANSITIONALFUNDINGAPPLICATION’,‘new’:true,’ even though I haven’t applied for it! Dang I wish something would tell us
@tallsunflower Yeah, I think we’re just going to have to wait until tomorrow. I hope we get the results before 5 EST. At the same time, I’m worried I’m going to be too nervous to even check lol
@futureteach2k20 Good luck tomorrow!! Rooting for you!
Excited to find out tomorrow!! @futureteach2k20 @tallsunflower
Nervous for tomorrow!
My code now has a bunch of things like:
“DECISIONCOMMITMENTSTATEMENT’,‘new’:true,”
with “dueDate’:'2020-02-20” listed as well.
Any one else have these in their code?
@TFAViolet mine says the same!
How long has yours said that? Has it the whole time? Hoping this means good news for us!
