Hey did everyone else also get the email about TFA updating the regional eligibility requirements?
Yeah I did. Gave me a heart attack lol. I hope this still means we’ll hear by (or maybe even before?) the 28th!
Ha I certainly hope so. At this point, the waiting is giving me a heart attack too
I want to know as soon as possible (good or bad). Good luck to you.
I just was able to get online and look, interesting that now Chicago is open to me (it wasn’t before) but I had Colorado chosen since it was a high needs region and now it isn’t listed as one. I once had someone tell me we had to have a high needs region on our top ten, do you all know if that is still true? I don’t see anything about it on the application page.
I don’t know if it’s still true–it let me submit mine without a high need region (I also have Colorado on my list), so maybe not?
Hi all! I also applied this round and had some of the same questions. I added a high need region as my number 10 choice just in case!
I ended up not submitting with any high needs regions because none of the ones listed have state level LGBT protections… hopefully they understand that! I’m a little worried that I seem really picky with my region/subject placements but at the end of the day, I don’t want to get certified in something I don’t actually want to teach long term.
Did everyone get that 16 question survey? My heart skips a beat every time I get stuff from TFA now.
Yes I did haha, same here. One more week until decision day!
One more long week to go.
Did anyone apply for transitional funding? Or do we only have the option to do that once we are accepted?
I didn’t apply for transition funding yet, but you can apply for transitional funding before you are accepted.
You don’t get your transitional funding until you start institute so the deadline is pretty far in advance, but you can apply now if you want!
Ha my heart just skipped a beat as I got an email from my recruiter. However, he was just telling me some potential next steps and wishing me luck.
He is a really helpful and inspiring person though. Did anyone else get emails from their recruiters?
Just 6 more days everyone!
I never get emails from my recruiter lol, I had an awesome one months ago but he was promoted and I got reassigned. I still talk to my old recruiter more than my new one! Also, I haven’t applied for transitional funding yet either. I want to wait until I know exactly what my circumstances will be, ie how far away I will need to move if I’m accepted!
Has anyone seen any differences in their source code? Also in the code, how long after your interview did it take your interviewer to update it? It says “updatedby”
My source code has ‘FINAL EVAL’ and ‘updatedby’ in it and was updated a few days after my interview (I interviewed on the first day and it was updated the day after the interviews finished). Nothing that might indicate a decision though. I think they’ve pretty much fixed the source code thing.
My source code hasn’t changed since I’ve been checking it. I have ‘FINALEVAL’ in mine as well. But my interviewer updated mine like 3/4 hours after the interview. Idk if that means anything though
Where are you guys seeing ‘FINALEVAL’ and what is a source code and how do I find it? I’m not seeing anything on mine.
@Sbennett9291 you can see the source code by right clicking on the applications page and then going to “view page source.”
I have FINALEVAL in mine as well, it was updated the day after my interview.
