<p>Alright from a few brief chats with my friends I think I know what i have to give to my guidance counselor and teachers for recommendations, so please check that i have everything/correct me.</p>

<li>Each school's teacher rec. form</li>
<li>An addressed envelope for each school</li>
<li>A list of all the schools and why I want to go there <- Do I need this? Should I mention my first choices?</li>
<li>A list of my activities/awards <- Should this include explanations of some of them and how much time i spend on them?</li>
</ul>
<p>copy of transcript. Due dates for recs. Put stamps on envelopes.</p>
<p>It isn't appropriate to include a transcript. The recs are to show something other than numbers about you, even if the teacher is writing a lot about your class performance.</p>
<p>We don't mention why we want to go to the schools- that's something more imporant for our GCs than teacher recs. No transcripts either. It's not about grades for recs.</p>

<p>you give the transcript to the teacher as a courtesy so they don't have to look it up....of course, they will not include it with their letter</p>
