<p>Grrr! I don't know what to do. I am applying for Spring transfer and the deadline for my application was Nov 15th. I had all of my stuff (my transfer essay, Dean's rec, HS transcript, college transcript) in on time, but my teacher rec is still missing. The college is mailing out decisions on Dec 1st (this weekend!). If her rec isn't in then it will be an automatic rejection, right? The admissions committee is making the decisions this week and her rec isn't in! I gave her all of the paperwork and a stamped and addressed envelope weeks ago and reminded her. The last time I spoke with her was before Thanksgiving Break (which started on the 16th), but I wasn't worried then because I know that teacher's can get their recs in a little late and it will still be OK. However, this late is REALLY pushing it. I'm upset because this could ruin everything for me... :( I emailed her over break as soon as I found out that her rec was the only thing missing. It says that she read the e-mail but she never responded, not even a quick reply or anything. What is going on? I can see her for the first time since before break tomorrow morning and ask her what's going on. But I'm worried, is it already too late? I only applied to one school, so this is it... Help!</p>
<p>Don't sweat it. No school would count it against you if she sent it in slightly late. Talk to her and get it in ASAP.</p>
<p>Call the school tomorrow if you are THAT worried about it. Since you were admitted to this school only a few months ago, I am sure they will be familiar with your character. I do not think, for you, in this scenario, the teacher recommendation will have that much effect on your acceptance.</p>

<p>I went to talk to her yesterday. She hadn't mailed it out yet... in truth I don't even think she wrote it yet. Anyways, she said she would fax in over today. I have a feeling she won't though. I hate to assume such a thing, but I'm really worried... Should I ask her again today if she sent it out yet? Then I could call the school and ask if they received the fax. I know I'm being paranoid, but it's for a good reason! If all goes as planned, I should know by this time next week!</p>
<p>I just got my college tutor recommendation... It's a 4 line long email. It's positive but I cannot stop screaming. Oh, and they've lost my transcript.</p>
<p>confusedfreshman- I am sorry. If that happened to me, I would probably call the school and notify them of the situation. Really, it is out of your hands; that teacher is ridiculous.</p>
<p>Nag her about it if need be, as the onus is on her ENTIRELY. Don't be bashful, ask every day until it's done.</p>
<p>although, you don't want her to get annoyed and change that pleasant recommendation into something rather unpleasant. :)</p>
<p>i just got accepted to rice, and it turns out that my apps was missing one recommendation. they just accept me with a contingency that i have to submit the form by the time i accept my acceptance and enroll.</p>
