Teacher rec troubles

I asked my recommendation teachers for recommendations way back in October, and they wrote recs for all the colleges I wanted to apply to at the time, and saved the copy to their computer, just in case. This week I decided I wanted to apply to Columbia, Dartmouth, and Yale, as well as the colleges I had previously decided on. One of my teachers gladly agreed to reupload her essay, but the other claimed that she wouldn't because too many people were asking her to do college stuff and she was overloaded (I forgot to remind her that she promised to do it just last week....). Obviously, I'm screwed for Columbia, unless I decide to get an alternate second teacher. I was wondering though if the recommendations worked for the common app in such a way that if the teacher had submitted one rec, it was sent to all colleges. This would help me out for Dartmouth and Yale. Anyways, thanks.

If the teacher submits a recommendation to the commonapp site, it stays there. You can use it for any other colleges you want to apply to.

Okay, thanks. That’s good. Now to find a teacher to write me a Columbia rec… haha.

yea, I think one rec works for all colleges. I’ve only got two teachers to write for me. They are too busy…
