Teacher Recommendation Issue

<p>Hello</p>

<p>Now I need 2 teacher recs. I chose my English teacher for one of them, but I'm stuck on who to choose for the other one. I have 2 options, either Math or Computer Science. I hate to say that both of these teachers aren't good writers AT ALL (I'm an international). Their English is very weak, and they write extremely generic letters like saying that I'm hardworking, ambitious etc. Nothing special.</p>

<p>I asked my Math teacher to write a recommendation letter for me when I applied to a certain summer school, I was rejected. I can't put all the blame on her, and obviously, my application was terrible back then. But regardless, I saw how she writes a letter and I can't say I want to choose her again. </p>

<p>I could choose Computer Science as well, but he is one of the laziest people I've ever met. It really seems like I'm talking crap about my teachers and just blaming them, but it's true. My CS teacher is lazy. I asked him if he could write my letter last time, he didn't want to. </p>

<p>So what do I do guys..? I only have these 2 teachers left, the other ones don't know me well. Both my math and CS teachers know me for 3+ years.</p>

<p>Does the letter have to come from a teacher? Some schools allow it to come from someone else, like your guidance counselor (really good idea! They right awesome letters of rec. ) or a coach. Some even say that if you have volunteered somewhere, you can have the volunteer coordinator write it!</p>

<p>I’m also wondering if they have to write it in english? Maybe it would be okay for them to write it in their first language so they can write a stronger letter. Check that out.</p>

<p>If it comes down to math or computer science, I would say choose the one who has seen the best work from you and know you best. If you are friendlier with one of the teachers, or participate in one of the classes more, I would choose that class. </p>

<p>You can also tell your teacher how important the letter is, and ask them to take their time with it. Good luck (:</p>
