Teacher Recommendation letters, but haven't picked a college

I am a junior and was advised that I should start asking for teacher recommendation letters. I want to apply early for my colleges so I can get it over with early in my senior year. My question is that the 2 teachers I have asked want a resume. Can anyone tell me if the teachers they have asked prefer a bullet format of grades, clubs, interests or do they want personal information of your home life in a paragraph format? Also, if they both have the same information what is going to make the letters different if they are reading off the same resume? I have a list of about 10 schools I want to apply to, so are the recommendation letters just basic or do they have to be addressed to each school?

Thanks for any help.

They are mainly general unless you are applying to a specific program. When my daughter was a junior, her school provided a questionnaire that the students had to fill out and give to the teacher. It basically just asked about the classes she had with the teacher, why she stood out, what her favorite project was, and how that class would relate to her major or career interests. So it don’t really have the same information. Your teachers provided they are in different subjects (which they should be) will have different strengths to highlight and emphasize.

Hey I’m a Junior too and I want to apply EA also, I asked my Math, English, and Counselor to write mines. I asked back in Feb for my math teacher (I was applying to summer program) all he required me to have is a B+ for first semester. Now my other teachers asked for a resume and a submitted piece of writing for my letter. Now for the Resume I did it in this format (It is different than typical resume, more like a cheat sheet of your high school life)

-Listed In and Out of school activities and weekly time commitments (Including Leadership roles), listed them in the order of importance to me and explained which activity is most meaningful

-I described an academic experience that has been a highlight of my years in my high school

I described and explained a personal accomplishment that very proud of

I said how I spent my last 2 summers and my plans for this summer coming up

I listed all the books I regularly read outside of school on a regular basis

I described my plans after College graduation, where I see myself 10 years for now

-I talked about my problems outside of school that interfered with my academic performance

I talked about what I do during spare time, my hobbies/interest

-Said what I am hoping to get out of college, what I am going to contribute

To end my resume I put 6 words my Family, Friends, and I that would describe myself

I attached these responses with my UNOFFICIAL transcript and a writing piece. I hope this helps!

Thank you for all your advice
