Teacher Recs....?

<p>I searched pretty much the entire UC website as well as the Berkeley part and can't find the answers to my questions, which is why I'm asking here... </p>

<p>Anyway...I'm out of state and applying for engineering, meaning I definitely need teacher recs. Here are my questions:
1. Is there a separate form for those or does Berkeley, like many state schools, just say to send in a letter or two?<br>
2. And if I have an additional/optional rec, do I need any kind of special form for that?</p>

<p>The UCs do not require letters of recommendations on behalf of admission. SO you don't need send in any of them. Save those for privates!</p>

<p>Recs are thrown in the trash unless they are specifically asked for, which happens for some applicants in Jan/Feb for a variety of reasons. So, don't send recs in unless the UCs tell you to send it to them.</p>

<p>Or you could have just used a handy function called "Search." It's there for a reason, since this question always gets asked about 20 times every year.</p>
