About teacher recommendations, the U Penn website doesn't specify how many we need. I believe it's two, but can the two teachers come from the same academic field? (i.e. AP Psycholoy and AP U.S. History, even though they are both 'social studies')

Does anyone know if it matters?

Thanks!

They require two teacher recommendations from teachers in any (or the same) academic field.

Make sure that one if not both teachers can relate to the field of study you plan to pursue.

thanks but how do you guys know this?
well i plan on doing business. One of my recs is from my ap psych teacher. i think thats okay, right? since psych. and understanding the way people think is an important aspect of business..

--EDIT
OH YOU GUYS MADE IT INTO PENN. GOOD JOB =]
so you guys had teacher recs from same academic field?

sushi,

i dont think you have to get it from the same academic field

but it wouldn't hurt.

choose the teachers that like you the most is the advice most ppl follow

yeah I agree with aznpersuazn. I even chose a 10th grade chem teacher for my rec..out of desperation perhaps? lol

ooh okay. thing is, i WANT to get it from the same academic field, haha. I just wanted to make sure it was okay to do so because some schools specify two different fields.

thanks
