how can I be positive that my teacher will write a good rec for me? Like I feel like this teacher likes me, and she agreed to write a rec for me, but how do i make sure she really does like me and isn't pretending and might actually write a really bad one purposely?

I know I'm paranoid, but honestly how do I make sure without asking her directly?

You already did; when she said she would write you a letter of recommendation, you pretty much ensured that she's going to write something nice for you.

You're super paranoid.

Put yourself in your teacher's shoes.
If you didn't like a student that much, would you dedicate hours of time to writing a letter of rec for him or her?
Unless the teacher detests the student, and i mean really DETESTS, I dont think a teacher would waste time on that.

Teachers spend hours writing one letter of recommendation? Seriously?

I know my teachers didn't.... At least, I should hope not.

How do I tell whether or not my teacher secretly detests me? Cause even if she does, she wouldn't tell me in my face.

As to how long teachers spend writing, it depends on how many students ask him/her, how much time she/he is given, and how much he/she has to say.

Hmm... Are you a psychic? Other than that, I just don't see how...

Maybe you should hire a psychic so you can tell if your teacher secretly detests you.

Or, just maybe, you should trust her.

Maybe, if you see the letter of rec on her desk, you could vaporize her and read it and see!

not funny =.= but it did cheer me up a bit. thx
