Does a foreign language count as a core academic subject?

Oooh. I know that my daughter’s German teacher wrote one of her Georgetown recommendations. She applied to the college not SFS. Why don’t you call and ask?

World languages do count as core academic subjects. Other sorts of electives don’t

Is this Georgetown’s policy? Would Latin be included in the category of “world languages”?

Math
English
Foreign Language
Social Studies
Science

These are core subjects. I believe Latin would fall under the category of Foreign Language.
