<p>I asked all my relatives for gift cards to Best Buy so I can choose what I can get.... With everything I got, I plan on buying a tech product to bring with me to college.
What are some tech essentials to bring to college is my real question...
I already have my laptop and my laptop case (got that for Christmas as it was $90)
What do freshman usually bring?</p>
<p>I think a digital camera is really nice to share photos easily with the family and friends back home. But, freshman bring so much stuff, at least at my school. Many had their laptops, printers, TVs, Xbox, camera, stereo, etc. There just isn't room. So, I'd go with a camera.</p>
<p>Computer (laptop would be recommended if for no other reason than space efficiency), printer, alarm clock, and cell phone are the only tech accessories I use on a consistent basis. I also have a small TV, Gamecube, and PS2 that are great on the occasions when I do use them.</p>
<p>PS2 - if I had that I would probably be forced to drop out of college or something</p>
<p>yeah Halo 2 competitions have become pretty popular in my dorm at UCLA. People with X-boxes just hook up to the network and they get dozens of people playing at one time - pretty cool, actually.</p>
