Okay…I just got off the phone with the registrar’s office and was told the earliest telebears appointments are on April 19. I told the young lady what I have seen here and was assured that April 19 is the beginning of telebears for seniors. So…what the heck??? I am a bit tweaked by this as my DD seems to be pretty much majoring in Whatever-Class-Is-Available Studies!!!

Phase I: 4/19

I’m currently a freshman.

gilmorelove4life, my understanding is that one cannot have sophomore standing as a freshman even if one has enough credits to be a sophomore. Instead, a person with sophomore-like credits as a freshman will be granted junior status when they become a sophomore.

Phase I: 4/19 at 11:30 AM
Phase II: 7/21 at 8:30 AM

Incoming sophomore (current freshman) - senior Telebears level.

MUCH better than last semester. Now I can finally get into my labs!

Education & Non-AP levels: Sophomore
Telebears level: Junior

Phase 1: 04/26
Phase 2: 07/29

I’m currently a freshman. Last week my telebears level was “freshman”, but just now when I checked it got changed to “junior”.

I just had a detailed conversation with a woman in the Registrar’s office who explained to me that the first day for Phase I is April 12 for seniors with special circumstances (didn’t get into what that meant–athletes and such, maybe?), April 13 is the first day for graduating seniors, and April 16 is the first day for all other seniors. April 19, which my DD has (sophomore with junior standing and a senior telebears standing), is still a senior phase I date. She has 78 credits including those in progress.

^^

that’s strange, i’m not graduating and don’t have any special circumstances, but i have senior level as a sophomore and my telebears is before the 16th…i’m not quite sure what the advisor means

Phase I
Start: Wednesday 04/28/10 09:30 AM
End: Thursday 04/29/10 09:30 AM

Phase II
Start: Friday 07/30/10 01:00 PM
End: Monday 08/02/10 01:00 PM

Education Level JUNIOR
Non-AP Level SOPHOMORE
Future (Telebears) Level JUNIOR

Will i be able to get into ib131 lecture…? Non-IB major.

Phase I
Start: Monday 04/26/10 04:00 PM
End: Tuesday 04/27/10 04:00 PM

Phase II
Start: Thursday 07/29/10 02:20 PM
End: Friday 07/30/10 02:20 PM

How do they determine your appointment?

Phase I
Start: Thursday 04/29/10 05:00 PM
End: Friday 04/30/10 05:00 PM

Phase II
Start: Monday 08/02/10 04:20 PM
End: Tuesday 08/03/10 04:20 PM

Current first-year…look at that phase II. Bah. Oh well, I don’t think my classes will fill up too quickly…

Phase I
Start: Tuesday 04/27/10 02:30 PM
End: Wednesday 04/28/10 02:30 PM

Phase II
Start: Friday 07/30/10 09:20 AM
End: Monday 08/02/10 09:20 AM

Advisor Code Required?
YES

Education Level JUNIOR
Non-AP Level FRESHMAN
Future (Telebears) Level JUNIOR

Eh it’s ok.

@pokemon - same here. x.x

chaosrecon–I think it may have something to do with the number of credits and it definitely matters whether one has declared a major. DD will declare tomorrow–first appointment she could get with her advisor since deciding–it would be nice if her telebears date changed and she was actually able to get some of the classes she needs. To clarify, I said DD’s a sophomore, and she is a second year, but she is considered a junior in both education level and non-AP level and a senior for telebears. Also, the woman in admissions noted that there comes a point when it is a detriment to have a lot of credits and the telebears dates start getting worse–I thought that was interesting.

just wondering, can someone define what a DD is?

TeleBEARS level don’t really mean anything directly in relation to when your appointment is.

Your non-AP level determines what week your TeleBEARS is, but your unit totals (AP/IB/CC/UC) determine where in that week your appointment comes.

0 to 30 CC/UC units makes a frosh
31 to 60… a soph
61 to 90… a junior
91 to 120… a regular senior
121 and up… a graduating/super senior.

Currently the system is kind of broken as a result of the phase 2 restrictions they put in place a while ago.

DD = dear daughter. Obnoxious acronym, IMO.

Non-AP level determines what week? My TeleBEARS is way too early if it’s by non-AP level…

Non-AP Level: Junior
Future Telebears Level: Senior

Phase 1: 4/15
Phase 2: 7/19
