Tell me about the Castillian dorms

considering moving there and any information would help.

BTW, does everyone get their own closets and are the dressers big enough for two people?

thanks

search on this forum - i've posted a lengthy description a few times before.

you share a closet with someone else that I believe has mirrored sliding doors

i lived there last year and never heard anyone complain of the closet space. i'd recommend the place to everyone.

aceestrin, can you give any insights about your experience at the dorm or about the dorm in general? Thanks~

my biggest problem with the castillian was teh elevators... takes forever to grab one. Umm, the rooms are fine, sumtimes in sum rooms the AC wont work but u can get that fixed. They are two desks two beds two dressors and the closet is big enough for two people. Most of the rooms are joined with another group of two people so youll make fast friends with a bunch which is nice. But, elevators suck.

yeah...so as crouton said the elevators suck...but you get used to them and if anything it just gives you a chance to get to know the people who live there. the food isn't that great (i wouldn't get the unlimited meal plan), but it's not horrible and some dorms are worse in the food dept.
what really is great is how friendly many of the people are. it'll give you a great feeling of college life and I really had a great time there. I definitly wouldn't live at Towers...no matter what.

Why do you say you wouldn't live at Towers? My S is a junior and we are trying to figure out which dorm he should apply to when he goes (if he ends up at UT). I have heard from others that Towers is great, and I would like to hear a differing opinion.

Thanks,

edited because he is a senior now!

Can I get any studying done at the Castillian? Does the cleaning service clean the bathrooms? Is there a partition in the closet? Thanks.

There is a study lounge but I don't think the dorm itself is that large.
