Tell Me Honestly

Hello Everyone,

I’m just going to spit out my question. Please tell me with as much brutal honesty as possible.

In my freshman year of college, I attended a 4-year university. I ended up hating the school and went into a really bad emotional and mental state. My first semester I ended with 2 Cs, a D, and an A. In my second semester, I ended with 3 B’s and an A.

I ended up transferring to a CC and have completed my fall semester with all A’s. I will finish all my GE’s and the transferrable classes needed for a communications major at USC.

I just want to know what my chances are in transferring to USC. I know my GPA is bad, but I don’t like having any expectations so I’d rather get rid of any now. Any advice and honest words are much appreciated.

Your chances are extremely small.

Your chances would be better if you completed an associates at your current community college, continuing with good grades. This shows a record of accomplishment, and would boost your chances.
