Tell me what I'm missing.

Current freshman. I'm looking to enter Penn's CAS as a junior transfer, major in government.

GPA (if things stay on track this semester): 3.895

EC's: editor of literary review, freelance writer for student newspaper, economics club, NYPIRG internship, some volunteer work for State Assemblyman, interning for U.S. Senator this summer.

SAT: retaking in June and shooting, realistically I'm pretty sure, for a 2200+

If things go well, I'll apply for something with the Federal Resevre Bank of New York in the fall.

One rec I'm sure of now is my American Government prof, who's also head of the Poli Sci department.

I'm pretty nice at essays.

My h.s. record is stellar for first two years, then basically abysmal for the rest. Not sure how important that is for a junior transfer.

I feel like my app can be made so much better. Please critique.

:)

Come on guys, throw me some peer review.

You’re looking pretty solid so far.

Everything

I like HonorsCentaur’s answer better.

I heard that your high school record matters less for junior transfers. Besides that I can’t help you, since I’m trying to transfer myself!

Best of luck. :)

Just do what you like. Follow your passions and it normally will work out in the end. However, if you MUST have some concrete advice, I will say to try and get your GPA up a little bit. I mean its not a huge deal but maybe go for a 3.95+.
