^what is the smallest acceptable font? 11? i also have some essays that are longer than two pages.

"anyways - i hate how i keep looking at tasp threads rather than writing my essays"

Haha, same exact situation here.

Should the issue essay be really serious, or can it be more offbeat?

Argh, I have regular schoolwork to do too.

for the critnal, do we have to analyze the "true" meaning of the text, or can we just pick a section of the theme and run with it? and, wow, i shouldn't be on CC right now, but, eh, whatever. =___=

^ I think that you're supposed to make an assertion about the text, support it with evidence, and then analyze the author's effectiveness in the conclusion. I also tried to incorporate every single argument that I could formulate about the text into my critical analysis and (my caveat) DON'T DO IT! Just run with a section of the theme.

one essay left...

i've finished my essays, but man my conflict essay is lame.

What's it about, tommylamarre?

Gosh, you guys are so lucky you're nearly done. I'm still puttering around with my critnal.

my conflict essay is SO lame.

One More Essay Baby.

i think i have writer's block...gahhhhhh

ahhhh!!! i'm freaking out right now!!

write write write write write!!!

haha good luck guys!! it'll be over soon.

don't try to squeeze in your SAT scores in the margins when they didn't ask for them. that's one big pile of no-no.

good luck for all the paper-application people!

My essays are kinda corny.

i am on the verge of scrapping my conflict essay.

Ugh, I can't concentrate... I left my problem/topic essay for last, thinking it would be easy because I could write about anything, and now I can't think of anything to write about.

But other than that, just lots of revision, one conclusion and my book list!

Oh no! Is it really that bad? (This is directed at thepapercrane)

I was indecisive about my conflict essay, so I wrote two. Now I have two finished conflict essays, and I don't know which to send in...

^ I deem that a good dilemma. How are you going to decide, Disneyguy?

the thing is, no, i don't even think it's that bad overall... i just don't feel like i analyzed anything in it... haha. i was going to analyze the different types of freedom (i.e. freedom when there are no obstacles posed, versus freedom to act against obstacles posed).... and connect that to my problem, and i still might, but i am unsure ... and I don't know how well i would be able to articulate that. another thing i was considering was to analyze the implications of praise and encouragement, especially on children. hahaha. yeah, such weird topics. oh well.
how are you guys doing? I really hope we all get in and get to meet each other :P :P :P

three more essays to go. :[

oh yeah, and interestingly, after i saw the "coke vs diet coke" joke/ dilemna earlier on this thread, i wrote about one page single spaced about diet coke versus coke in a cultural context, etc.. HAHA. But I can't seem to write anything about an actual dilemna.... great......
