I have no idea. My family might be moving halfway across the country so it’s hard to be sure what I will/will not be able to do.

I don’t know, I hadn’t planned anything. Erm. Someone tell me something to do.

The thing I don’t get is why they didn’t just send out the rejections at the same time… I mean, the acceptances were sent out at two PM, there was plenty of time to send a rejection email as well. It’s just bizarre that they’re forcing us to wait.

If I don’t get accepted, I’ll probably end up going to some other summer program of one kind or another.

Well, maybe OACJLV is right and they still have a few decisions to make. Even if true, this doesn’t comfort me that much, because I’d know I was in the bottom and wouldn’t have much of a chance anyway.

But hey, at least we all bonded over our shared dismay and anticipation, lol.

Haha, yep! I’m an international, so I don’t know if that makes any difference, but oh well. Whatever happens, happens. I’m sure we’re all lovely, capable people who’ll be all right regardless.

^Yeah, I’m not at all comforted because it would mean that I’m in the bottom, even if I do by some amazing luck get in. Chances are so low, though. I just kind of think that they dropped the ball on this one. I think they made this way more painful than it had to be for at least 90% of applicants…

got my interview notification around 2 est… just finished a calc test at the time and was too blissful to sit still
Good luck to the rest of you! very excited for the interview as well.

Welp, I’m going to bed. Once more, congratulations to everyone. Goodnight and good luck!

im desperated… dont know if there is still slight hope left :(

Well…if it helps at all, I think you guys who didn’t get any information today should still have hope. Like people have said, there’s no precedent for TASP sending out acceptances first and rejections later. For all we know they could be doing it by region or alphabetical order, or maybe by region and then by alphabetical order within individual regions haha. The point is we don’t know what’s going on in their offices except that they havent finished sending out notifications, so I’d wait a little longer before freak outs and being sure of rejection.

…but, just like I did, make sure you also keep in mind the reality that the large majority of people are going to be rejected.

Though it is bizarre, I am assuming that they did all the acceptances today, as it seems that ppl from the west coast and the east coast got it around the same time, 2pm EST and 11pm PST. I’m assuming they’re sending out all the rejections tomorrow, though it is really weird why they would separate that out this year, when they’re that well-coordinated to match the time of the snail mail and the email for the accepted ppl.

Hello other rejects!

I wrote my essays in the 2 days before and they were the crappiest things ever. Not surprised, although last year for TASS I did the exact same thing and made it to the next round…

One of my friends made it to the next round and one didn’t!

Wait, one of your friends got like a confirmed rejection letter from TASP this year?

OH man… so that means most of us are rejects… oh well expected it anyways…

well our situation seems to repeat what happened in 2009-2010. from what I gathered from 2010 thread, what happened is that acceptees received noti via email and rejectees got their decision via snail mail. looks like thats what they’re gonna do this year then sorry for dragging all your hopes down but if after today we still havent received any email from them then its safe to assume that we will be rejected via snail mail.

Oh and also happened that year: their computer CRASHED while they were sending out acceptance email so only about 20 or so got their emails if i recall correctly. the next day they resumed sending out noti but to the acceptees only, rejectees got snail mail well i really hope thats not what happens this year >___<

So, that pretty definitively means we’re rejected. Sad.

Scholastic Art Awards better come through for me, lol.

I phoned them this morning and they said they’ll be sending everything today. So, don’t panic guys, there is no point when we’ll know for sure soon.

Hey I got my interview notification through email and regular mail so I don’t think rejectees automatically get regular mail.

Sent from my XT907 using CC

thx for all the info… last hope today!!!
hope for the best

good luck everyone
