Telluride House

I was sent a request asking me to apply, is this a scam? It doesn't see to be affiliated with the university. What is it?

Hi Red Remote-my D looked into Telluride. I believe its offered to high achieving students as a house to live in off campus. They give free room and board as long as a certain GPA is maintained. The house stresses a quiet atmosphere for studying. With out of state tuition so high, if I were you, I would look into it.

take this thread down

Why should this thread be taken down?

Don't apply. I made the mistake of applying two years ago. There were five super long essays, and then a one hour interview and i got rejected. the application took forever.
Oh, and the house is like miles away. not kidding.

Yah I just got the same mail asking me to apply....but I won't because I just don't have the energy to write 5 more essays.

My D got an invitation Friday. Five essays seems extreme, and she won't be applying. It appears to be around 1.2 miles from campus. (I used Google maps.)

I got one too. My parents wanted me to apply for the room and board, but I want to be able to meet more people than that. Also, you can apply in subsequent years, according to the letter.

hey u guys, I made it to the interview stage, anyone else?
