Temple Class of 2023 Thread

I also think that based on her conversation with admissions, Temple isn’t a true rolling admissions school. They treat it more like EA/regular decision no matter what they call it. I used to work there (not in admissions) and I’m an alumni, but college applications in general were just very different back in the day.

@2019earlygrad legal studies with a 1330 SAT and 3.26UW and 3.82W GPA. i had a lot of extracurriculars with strong letters of recs explaining how a concussion in my freshman year affected my grades

@s9841210 that’s great! My app was completed on 10/10 (fox/3.96W/1170/EA/OOS) and I still haven’t heard back, they must accept stronger applicants first

I applied on October 7th and just found out yesterday (November 13th) that I was accepted!!
They are rolling admissions so you guys should find out soon…good luck!

@snowfallin3 congrats! what are your stats/major?

@snowfallin3 , you applied EA though, right? Their rolling admissions don’t actually start until after the EA round per my D’s admissions rep. Rolling admits will start hearing mid-late January.

Got accepted on 11/12 and updated my portal today and there was an admission letter stating the merit scholarships I received!

I applied EA through the Common App. I submitted my Common App on 10/23 and had all materials in around 10/30 I believe. My portal updated on 11/9 simply saying I was admitted. Today, on 11/14, it updated with an official admissions letter, which had my Provost Scholarship, and an honors program admission letter.
Stats:
1/71 Class rank
1450 SAT, didn’t submit SAT IIs
4.0? UW GPA
4.2?? W GPA (102.7 on a 100 scale)
5 APs
A lot of clubs, sports, leadership positions, community service etc… especially for my small school

I forgot to mention my major was computer science and mathematics, which honestly there wasn’t much proof throughout my application that I was interested in comp sci so idk if that helps anyone.

Son accepted. Applied EA -common app 9/24 application complete 10/30. Fox/business analytics
SAT 1420
ACT 32
4.0 GPA (UW) Three AP’s prior to SR year. 4 AP’s and a dual enrollment for SR year.
Invited to Honors reception. Fingers crossed they will post a scholarship with the official acceptance letter.

@Mommy43 Where do you see an invite to an honors reception? Son received letter saying he was accepted into honors, but he didn’t mention anything about an honors reception.

@jgmama It is listed in the todo items with schedule a visit and it lists honors reception. Can you tell me where they will post the official acceptance letter and (hopefully) scholarship?

@Mommy43 his portal showed an acceptance letter (which listed scholarship) and a letter accepting him into honors. This was on Friday, I’ll have him check today to see if the schedule a visit is showing yet. Good luck to your son, I would think he would be offered a nice scholarship with his stats!

Hi, just curious if anyone got accepted yet to the media and communications school? We are anxiously awaiting an answer. Applied EA 10/15.

If it says you are invited to the honors reception but it still does not have the official “letter” does that mean I also got accepted to the honors college?
