Per our admissions appointment today, they haven’t even cracked into FA yet.
Did she receive merit from other schools? My daughters (same stats) got the same amounts from every OOS college they applied to. However, ds21 (twin) topped out at 30 ACT/1390 SAT W gpa 3.8, so although I let him apply to OOS schools, he’s not going to be able to go to them.
Unfortunately we’ll never know. Temple is her #1 and we did EA knowing we’d hear before others are due.
I hope that’s true, and I did apply for financial aid so I’m not ruling anything out. That said, I am a first gen college student and I thought that’d be a cool dynamic/hook since I go to a prep school–heck, I wrote my college essay about that dynamic (maybe a bit too personal, but I digress). Oh well, it wasn’t a first choice and my college counselor did warn me not to expect too much in aid. Thanks for the reply.
Dd19’s top pick quickly became a no go due to zero merit (should’ve researched it more), she loves her current school so much and is grateful we couldn’t come close to affording #1.
Temple seems like it’s pretty good with FA, so I’m hoping you will get a nice amount. S got 5K/year merit in-state with good stats (not as high as yours, but decent) but he did NOT apply for FA. I know another first gen student who was accepted with 3K/year merit and he applied for FA. So maybe this is a pattern? Crossing fingers for you and everyone else here. Meanwhile, Drexel’s merit was much lower this year surprisingly. Now we are waiting to hear about merit from UDel and not expecting anything from Pitt. Can’t even predict anything at this point. @AnonAlli1021 - pretty sure, you would have gotten much more in previous years. My son with 13 AP credit, got similar award as yours. So frustrating.

just accepted to tyler for architecture! applied 9/24, accepted 12/14. 3.8 weighted gpa, no test scores submitted

In term of merit or lack of, it seems like many schools are cutting back on scholarships with smaller amount compare to previous years. My guess is public Universities and colleges will admit more in-state students this year and perhaps reducing scholarship amount and number are part of the plan.
Good luck to all and I’m sure you or your child/children will enroll and attend the DREAM school or affordable one.
Any word on any nursing applications? Seems like nursing decisions are taking a while to be released.

I think my D just got admitted for nursing. On her portal it says admitted now, but next steps still says awaiting decision. Earlier in the day it did not say admitted.

Do you mind sharing your daughters stats?
Does anyone when merit scholarships are posted and where they are to be found? My daughter just received an acceptance on Monday but she could not find the scholarship. Thank you!
When we got Temple acceptance , letter took a week or so appear on the portal and letter had the merit info.
