I'm a high school senior that's been accepted to both University of Tennessee and Wake Forest University... I don't know which to chose!
I want a school that is intense with their sports, and both schools are. I want a bigger school, and Tennessee is much bigger. However, I know that a degree from Wake will look more impressive. My parents both went to Wake Forest, so they are kind of pushing for it... and I don't know if that makes me want to go more or less? I love both campuses... Wake is 'prettier' but Tennessee seems more fun.
I love each for different reasons, so i need all of the opinions i can get!!

UT, it's a better party school. I think your friends would rather visit there.

The two schools are very different. You'd be anonymous at UT; you'd be known by most everyone at Wake, either by name or by face. Is that a good thing or not? Only you can answer that.

There's nothing wrong with a degree from UT. Admission there is not very selective, so your peer group would be a mixed bag of differing abilities and motivations. Wake is considerably more selective, with a national student body. How compelling for you is the probability that the campus culture is more likely to reflect a concentration of intellectual interests? That might be a good thing, or you might be frustrated when your friends decide to cancel out on weekend plans to work on a paper that's due Monday.

For what it's worth, Wake Forest is more prestigious.
