So I applied for Spring 2014 to FSU, UF, & UCF. (Pending decisions. I like to prepare a lot for the future, hence this post.) I will be finishing my AA this December. I reside in Miami, and though I have done extensive job research and off campus housing research in those areas as well, I fear that it will be too much of a rush if acceptance letters (if any), come too close to the end of the year, then I have to find housing, job, classes, etc.

I ask for anyone's opinion on term changes from Spring to Summer so that I have ample time to settle in and prepare. I can't really ask anyone around me for their opinions because.. I don't really have anyone to give me an honest opinion.

Does that sound like a reasonable idea? To request a term change? If so, are there underlying consequences? Does anyone have prior experience with this situation? What about financial aid? The CC I attended provided a small portion of summer aid. If I qualify for aid, will it be marginal compared to what was possible before in Spring?

If I have to do the whole rushing around ordeal, I'll do what has to be done. I would rather not rush though and be prepared.

Thank you in advance for your help.
