TERM: The Educational Reform Movement

Do you have general principles motivating your ideas?

Yes. The general principles are to shift focus from preparing for standardized tests to more meaningful learning, to reduce the importance of standardized testing (the more conservatives want to reduce testing, others some want to eliminate it, and that’s something we’ll have to discuss and make official what our views are), to make the general public aware of issues that are facing the school system outside of just budgetary issues, and to create a national network of students that can aid smaller endeavors in individual schools.
