<p>Terps lose to Butler. As a UMD fan, its tough, as the parent of a prospective UMD student, I knew they would lose. D received her scholarship letter today. (She is a fancy honor school, and super fancy,gemstone invitee.) Anyway, they offered a paltry $4500/yr. for 2 (yes..two!) years!</p>
<p>We knew when the Banneker/Key invites came out,that she wouldn't be attending, but wow! Banneker/Keys were seemingly drawn by lot, judging by the results from my D's school, and she wouldn't consider UMD without the ride, but two years? wow!</p>
<p>No wonder they lost! </p>
<p>(Ok, maybe the free throw shooting had something to do with it.)</p>
<p>they lost because a combination of bad luck and bad executions by maryland and all the good luck comes to butler.</p>
<p>butler generally doesn't make that many 3 pointers. This time, everytime they shoot it's in. They barely made any points inside the paint the entire game. There was a questionable call at the end on Strawberry. They said he was in the air and without the ball and he was charged for a foul. If that didn't happen or if they called a block, it could have tied the game at 61-61 with 41 seconds left. Then anything could happen. And the final shot by butler nobody gets the rebound except Greene (the smallest guy on the court) if you don't call that a lucky win, nothing else come closer ...</p>
